Held in Beijing on December 19, the 28th National Joint Meeting of Religious Communities studied the "Measures for Teacher Qualification Recognition and Title Evaluation in Religious Institutions" and the "Measures for Conferment of Academic Titles in Religious Institutions" (hereinafter “Two Measures” for short) with implementation arrangement. It also conveyed and studied the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference.
Chen Ruifeng, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and director of the National Religious Affairs Administration, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, said CCC&TSPM.
The meeting emphasized that the issuance of the "Two Measures" represents a concrete effort to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important statements on religious work and marks a significant achievement in the legal construction of religious work. It was pointed out that efforts should be made to ensure effective learning, training, and implementation of the “Two Measures.” The process of implementing the “Two Measures” should also serve as a means to promote the connotative development of religious education.
