A new home for the aged run by the local church in Central China is being constructed in Anhui.
Twenty-nine believers from the Haikou County Church and the Shengdan Church of Anqing came to the home as volunteers to help in the removal of the old roof, tiles and rafters, as well as the construction in late July 2016.
A pastor from the local TSPM said that the home will operate as a service center, aiming to help the disabled children and provide shelters for abused women and senior citizens.
The center covers about 24,000 square meters, including five buildings and two bungalows. Construction began in June 2014 with the center completing the decorated infrastructure project and estimated to open at the end of the year.
It is said that a local couple has visited the surrounding villages and taken a part in the home construction at their own expense since the day the project started. Like them, many believers who once put down their work made the effort to the construction.
