Guiyang Church held a prayer meeting for the world peace on the evening of August 13 with 400 people in attendance.

The church co-worker Wang Hong tells CCD that the congregation sang three hymns to worship the Lord and later, a pastor led them to pray for the following topics after the sermon:

1. Pray for you and your family. Tell God your innermost need, burdens, worries, hurt and debts. Ask the Lord to carry and forgive your corruption.

2. Pray for the unity service among pastors, co-workers and believers. Pray that God destroy the barriers between co-workers and churches and pray they can serve in the work of the Gospel with holiness and unity.

3. Pray for all the people suffering from distress, sadness, helplessness as well as victims in the wars and living in famines. Ask God to have mercy on these victims and save those innocent people and children who become orphans during the wars.

4. Pray that the teenagers and children can be delivered from sins and ask God to release the homosexuals, drug addicts and others chained by the dark forces.

5. Pray for the authorities of every country rule the people with righteousness, honesty, wisdom, mercy and goodness, especially for the Chinese people who can receive the blessings from the Lord.

6. Pray that all the souls can be saved and the kingdom of God can spread until His will is fulfilled and that every child can have in mind the will of God, return to His family and enjoy the Lord's grace as well as that the church can understand His will, becoming the witness of the Lord's glory.

The Gospel was first preached into Guizhou in 1877 and there were 19 foreign missions who engaged in running schools, newspaper, hospitals, according to the local ethnic and religious affairs commission. It reported that the opening churches had reached 532 with 230,000 believers and 685 church co-workers until 2000.
