Is there a reference to family education in the Bible?

Zhuzhou Christian Church of Henan is guiding its believers to seek ways of educating children using the Bible.

The philosophy of education stressed in the Bible includes three aspects:

Life Education

It aims to motivate the potential of life, improve the quality of life, defend the dignity of life, and realize the value of life.  The focus is on knowledge about life, one's relationships with other people, the environment, nature, and the universe.  Every child is indeed a heritage from the Lord. It is very important for children to learn through the Bible about the meaning of Life so that they know, from a young age, the plans that God has for their whole life.

Character Education

People live in groups. We are quite social. Parents must teach their children to live, survive, study, and get along with others, as well as teach them how to conduct themselves on the road of life. The ultimate purpose of life is to unite with God and glorify Him, and its nature is to teach people to be upright.

Whole-person Education

The fundamental purpose of this education is to foster a new generation that can survive independently and be physically and mentally healthy.  "Jesus increased in wisdom and years, and in divine and human favor." (Luke 2:52)  It is indispensable that children learn to build good interpersonal relationships and control their emotions.

Parents should first set a good example and "Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray."  (Proverbs 22:6)  As the heritage given by God, children deserve respect from their parents.  Also, Christians should never cease to pray for everything because children need prayers from their parents during every phase of life for blessings.
