Last weekend, six churches in Shaxian, Fujian resumed on-site Sunday services.

One day earlier, the application to reopen churches in Sha County, Fujian’s west-central Sanming, was sent to local authorities. All the facilities needed to be sterilized and checked by security personnel. Those seated in the pews must keep a one meter distance away from each other. Participants must have their temperature checked before entering a church.

Elder Zhu, head of Sha County Church, preached a sermon entitled, I Come to My God, My Greatest Delight. The service was also broadcast live. A monthly offering campaign was held to help fund the building of the local Chengnan Church.

Compared to the previous monthly offering of about 3,000 to 4,000 yuan, this time the donation reached more than 34,600 yuan.

Reports are that many churches in Sanming and other cities in Fujian will be officially reopened next week.
