Local church leaders investigated an ongoing church construction in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

Between July 24 and August 4, Rev. Fan Hongen, chairman of the Christian Three-Self Patriotic Movement and president of Zhuhai Christian Council, led co-workers to supervise the construction project of Zhuhai Church. They checked the scaffolding, temporary electricity, and protective facilities, and aloft work on the construction site.

According to the Zhuhai CC&TSPM, the co-workers also conducted a comprehensive safety inspection of the church venues in urban areas.

In strict accordance with the stipulations of the Standard Work Plan for Major Investigation and Remediation of Hidden Dangers in Religious Activity Places in Zhuhai, the visit aimed to strengthen the safety control of temporary electricity use and prohibit inflammable and explosive materials from entering the construction site to root out the hidden dangers of housing safety.

The plan says, "We should strictly implement the requirements for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, and further pay close attention to the investigation of potential safety hazards, so as to ensure strengthened construction safety and more safe, stable and harmonious Christian venues in Zhuhai.”
