Amid a new wave of the pandemic, Quanzhou Churches in China’s southeast coastal Fujian Province made donations to the COVID-19 prevention efforts, with all in-person gatherings being suspended since March 13.

Together with around 50 to 60 pastoral staff, the leaders of the Quanzhou CC&TSPM helped to make epidemiological investigation calls and input more than 4,000 pieces of information, Quannan Church said.

In addition to that, Quanzhou churches had donated more than 130,000 yuan as of Monday to fight against the virus, including 100,000 yuan from Quannan Church and 20,000 yuan from Shishi Church to Longhua Community in Fengli Street.

On March 14, Shishi City launched citywide nucleic acid testing, with all churches in lockdown.

According to the National Health Commission on March 21, mainland China reported 1,947 new local cases last Sunday. And Fujian detected 154 infections, of which 129 were in Quanzhou.
