Zhangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM in China’s southeastern coastal Fujian Province released a proposal for the contribution to its daily funds, detailing the development of ministries in the previous year.
The announcement issued on August 10 said, “Though all churches in the city contributed to the municipal CC&TSPM every year on the Sabbath or Sunday before September 23 when is the anniversary of the foundation of TSPM, this year churches can donate on a Sunday (Sabbath) from August 13 to September 23 due to COVID-19. They received 254,145 yuan for the daily expense from the churches, 159 pastors and staff members last year.”
Ministries that have been done by Zhangzhou CC&TSPM since September 2021 were also introduced as follows.
Besides recording video sermons to nurture believers, the municipal CC&TSPM organized 365 church staff workers to participate in anti-epidemic volunteer activities, motivating believers to make donations in cash and kind worth 72,188 yuan to help prevent the epidemic control during the churches’ lockdown periods.
The compilation of "Zhangzhou Christianity Gazetteer (first draft)" was completed to leave historical material for the Zhangzhou churches.
Holding the foundation stone laying ceremony for Pulin Church, they recommended three young believers to apply for the Fujian Theological Seminary, with two passing the entrance exam.
A total of 180 poor families in the Huimin Community, Punan Community, and Punan Church in Xiangcheng District received cooking oil and rice valued 18,000 yuan.
