Recently, in Zhejiang Province, churches were named as demonstration sites for the promotion of religious regulations and laws, and pastors received recognition as outstanding lecturers at the provincial and municipal levels.
According to the Hangzhou Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, 15 religious venues were elected as the 2023 demonstration sites for the promotion of religious regulations and laws, including Holy Trinity in Lucheng District, Wenzhou City, Huang'ao Church in Damen Town, Dongtou District, Wenzhou City, and Xin’en Church in Yiwu City.
Meanwhile, 48 churches served as the 2023 provincial religious laws and regulations publicity and education bases among the 120 designated religious activity venues.
The Zhejiang Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission also issued a notice that 10 religious individuals in Hangzhou won the title of provincial gold medal preacher in 2023.
The Hangzhou Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau issued the "Notice on Outstanding Lecturers of the ’Preaching in Zhejiang, Hangzhou Traditional Culture Lecture Hall’ in 2023," with 13 religious staff winning the title of municipal-level outstanding preachers, including Rev. Miao Dajun of Xietong Church in Binjiang District and Rev. Huang Jianpeng of Chengbei Church.
