The Anhui Provincial Christian Council (CC) held an ordination ceremony at the Hefei Christian Church.
According to the CCC&TSPM, on January 30, a total of 33 clergymen were ordained during the ceremony, 9 of whom were ordained as pastors; 24 were elders, with nearly 800 believers across the province, faculty, and students from the Anhui Theological Seminary attending.
Rev. Chen Tianyuan, chairman of the Anhui Provincial Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), delivered on the theme “Be Servants Praised by the Lord,” citing Matthew 25:14–30 and 45–51. He exhorted the newly ordained to be the good, faithful, and wise pastoral staff of the new era.
Rev. Xue Lianxi, general secretary of the Anhui Provincial TSPM, presided over the ordination.
Following the laying-on-hands ceremony, pastors Chen and Xue presented stoles and Bibles to the newly ordained.
