A megachurch in Zhejiang rolled out its 12th couples retreat, with 22 couples participating in the event.

Conducted from August 10 to 12 at Ningbo Centennial Church, the retreat consisted of six main parts: the blueprint of marriage, communication, family of origin, the five love languages, forgiveness, and the legacy of life.

One participant shared that he or she experienced a deep sense of love during the retreat, which will become a cherished memory in his or her life. Another one said he or she could understand the life partner from diverse perspectives, so they would communicate and get along better in the future. One believer said the retreat was like a love refueling station for couples, which provided emotional support for both themselves, and that it also offered opportunities for expressing love and forgiveness, something that was often difficult to achieve in daily life.

Through the retreat, participants rekindled hope in their marriages and families, expressing a desire to make changes in their lives going forward, while also looking forward to more learning opportunities like this in the future, reported the church.

Ningbo Centennial Church, the first reopening church after the Cultural Revolution starting in 1967, resumed worship on April 8, 1979. The Gothic-style building was first completed in May 1948 at Daliang Street by the Yincheng Pastoral District of the Zhejiang Diocese of the Chung Hua Sheng Kung Hui (or the Anglican-Episcopal Province of China). The purpose of this church was to commemorate the onset of preaching activities by the Anglican Church in Ningbo in 1848, so it was named the "Centennial Church." It is currently the central church of Ningbo, where the municipal CC&TSPM is stationed.
