A church in Zhenjiang City, Zhejiang Province, conducted a series of events to mark the 20th anniversary of reopening.
The first phase of the "Bible Transcription Activity," initiated by Zhendao Church in July, has concluded, with over 80 believers from both the copying and tracing groups participating, said the host church.
The activity spanned two months, during which participants copied a chapter from the Old Testament book of Proverbs weekly. In addition to deepening their understanding of the scriptures, believers enhanced their calligraphy skills. One believer noted that copying the Bible requires more focus than simply reading it, leading to more effective devotional practice.
From September 7 to 8, the church hosted an exhibition and evaluation of all the transcribed works. After a collective appreciation and voting process, 35 congregants were awarded special souvenirs from the host church.
