On November 23, Grace Church in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, held a thanksgiving activity themed “Walking Together with Him” to commemorate its 20th anniversary.
Rev. Lin Enling, secretary-general and general director of Guangdong CC&TSPM, delivered a sermon titled “Understood God's Grace in All Its Truth,” highlighting three virtues of faith, hope, and love with their lives blossoming and bearing fruit.
Senior Pastor Zhan Shaochu of the church, who is also chairman of Huizhou TSPM, reflected on the difficulties faced during the church's construction. He expressed hope that the church would carry forward the church’s excellent traditions and bring God’s blessings to those in need.
Rev. Chung Kin-kai, chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union, attended the celebration with a speech. In his address, Reverend Chung recounted the church's extraordinary groundbreaking ceremony. He said, “On the morning of the foundation stone laying ceremony during a typhoon season, the city experienced heavy rain. However, the pastors and staff workers proceeded with unwavering faith. Amazingly, only the event site remained dry while it continued raining elsewhere. It was as if God Himself drew a protective circle, enabling the ceremony to proceed smoothly. That experience profoundly reminded us of God’s guidance and grace.”
Rev. Chen Yanqun, president of the Huizhou Christian Council, encouraged Grace Church to continue being a church with vision, love, wisdom, loyalty, and discipline.
Finally, the Heman Worship Team of the church, debuted their original song named “Walking with You.”
