On March 10, Huai'an Municipal CC&TSPM in Jiangsu Province held a launching ceremony for the city's Christian professionals' quarterly training program.
The event gathered over 100 individuals, including leaders from the government religious affairs and the municipal CC&TSPM, as well as members of the "Dual Talents" professional pool (who are proficient in both classic doctrines and Chinese traditional culture), said the Huaian CC&TSPM.
The hosting organization plans to conduct quarterly training sessions in three years to develop a team of approximately 70 Christian professionals in the city.
At the inaugural ceremony, Rev. Ni Jinli, chairperson of the municipal TSPM, emphasized that the systematic quarterly training aims to develop Christian professionals in Huai'an, thereby advancing the sinicization of religion and ensuring the healthy inheritance of Christianity in the city.
The training course featured an anti-cult lecture by Mr. Gu Mengfei, secretary general of the national TSPM. He provided an overview of global heretical cults and emerging religions, especially those related to Christianity. Using case studies, he explained the dangers, characteristics, dissemination methods, and prevention strategies of cults and heresies.
Rev. Wan Yinxue, director of the Research and Editorial Office of the Jiangsu Theological Review, a semi-annual journal of Jiangsu Theological Seminary, then delivered a lecture on writing academic papers on the sinicization of Christianity, covering basic concepts of academic writing, development of ideas and structure, and the submission of academic papers.
