On June 8, 2017, a volunteer team from Lengshuitan Church of Yongzhou, Hunan visited six empty nesters who live in a local rural town.

Bringing oil and pastries to them, the team chatted with them and learned about their life through conversation. One member checked the seniors' blood pressure, offering suggestions on their daily care. She promised to give medicine to them next time. The team decided that it would care for them twice a month for a year to glorify the Lord's name.

Built in 2009, the Youngzhou Volunteer Society was officially founded in February 2014. Currently, it has more than 4,000 volunteers, consisting of 25 team volunteers including the Lengshuitan Christian volunteer team and over 3,000 additional volunteers in 8 county branches.
