Tianjin Christian Council Provides Emergency Support for Tanggu Disaster Area

After the explosion in Tianjin, local Christian immediately provided an emergency support for the injured. On the 15th of August, Tianjin Christian Council (TJCC) held a meeting that was related to help and support the victims in this blast.

Pastor Mao Yaojun in Tianjin church, was gathering each senior pastor in Shanxi road church, Tanggu church, and Gangwei Church, arranging the method that is to help Tanggu disaster area. According to report, the method can be divided into two parts. The first part is to inspect Tanggu church in Binghai District and the churches in Tanggu District, collect the damage information for TJCC, and the TJCC will solve the problems in time. The second part is to organize the central churches which are belonged to TJCC to pray for the disaster area.

At the same time, TJCC focused on the protection of the environment pollution, and the second damage from this disaster. TJCC also provided the support on the environment management. TJCC encourages each church to contact the local religious affairs' office, to assist them. The congregations in Tanggu church where is located in Binghai District, went to the blast place, providing the emergency aid for the injured when the blast happened.

Pastor Shan Weixiang (vice president of CCC), Pastor Gao Ying (Principle of Yan Jing theological Seminary), Pastor Wu Weiqing who is from BJCC, Pastor Fan Chenguang who is from Urumqi, almost more than 30 Chrisitan Coucils called to TJCC to show encouragement, and they are willing to try their best provide the support for the victims and the rebuilding after the disaster.

On the 16th of August, on Sunday, both Nangang church in Harbin, Jiaodong church in Henan held prayer gathering for the victims in this blast in Tianjin.
