From Nov. 9 to 11, Ziyoulu Church of Kaifeng held its yearly autumn retreat in the new church building. Teacher Jin Fuchang of an evangelistic association of Henan Province was invited to be the guest speaker.
Jin gave the speech entitled "God's creation", citing verses of Roman 1:20, 1 Timothy 3:16 and Hebrews 11:17-19. He explained "God's mystery" in three sections: "the mystery of the Incarnation of Christ", "the mystery of trinity" and "the mystery of God's revelation to Human". He also shared the experience of "Abraham Sacrificed Issac" in eight aspects:
1.The man who sacrifices Issac---Abraham
2.The significance of the sacrifice---The image of Christ
3.The place of the sacrifice---Mount Moriah
4.The way of the sacrifice---Burnt Offering
5.The reason of the sacrifice---God's calling
6.The experience of the sacrifice---The difficult three days
7.After the sacrifice---God's double calling out
8.The result of the sacrifice---Blessed by God
Jin encouraged the believers to do what the Lord ask them to do without asking why anytime anywhere for God chose them and to learn from Abraham and Issac to be a man of faith and obedience. He shared his testimony of God's amazing grace and blessing in his over 30 years' voluntary preaching life. He said he was called to be an evangelist at the age of 24 as a teacher in a rural village. He was once framed for a political prisoner, when he lived a hard life despised and mocked by people. He couldn't even share all his tears and suffering within three days. Even though it was hard then, he continued to preach the gospel.
Jin shared the significance of rebirth citing the verses of John 3:1-7 and 2 Corinthians 5:17. The retreat ended in the blessing of Presbyterian Yu Hongxia.
