After every trial and every hardship, people must come together and assist one another.

That is what teams from the Wafangdian Church did on June 15 to 16 in two areas in Dalian, Liaoning, visiting families facing financial difficulty and those with sick members.

According to the church, six members of a cell group in Wenlan area affiliated with the church visited a family with a patient suffering from the various complication brought by diabetes, sending them rice and eggs as gifts and gave them a prayer blessing.

A team of fourteen members also visited two other families living in difficulty in the Xinhua area with goods to help them get by. In the first family, the wife burst into tears during the communication for her husband paralyzed in bed all the year around and son who has a severe brain hemorrhage stimulated by his divorce.

In the second family, there was a woman who needed to take care of her seven-year-old daughter and husband who was umemployed due to cerebral hemorrhage. Sometimes, she even has to give assistance to her in-law which makes her wish for suicide while she is experiencing severe depression.

Aside from assistance, the church launched the monthly "Care Neighbors Campaign" on June, its culture publicity month. The campaign encourages every area of the church to attend a social service activity: for example, visiting a home for the aged, an orphanage or caring for the lonely elderly people.
