On Dec. 5, 2016, a religious delegation of Egypt, including its former Grand Mufti Ali Gomaa and the Archbishop of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem & The Middle East, visited CCC &TSPM, accompanied by Zhou Xianzheng, the Archbishop Emeritus and the director of the China Partnership of United Bible Society (UBS CP), etc.

The both sides held a talk presided by Rev. Kan Baoping, executive associate general secretary of CCC. Elder Fu Xianwei, chairman of TSPM, claimed that it was the first time that former Grand Mufti and the archbishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East visited China together, introducing the friendship exchanges and cooperation between Christianity and Islam in China. Rev. Gao Feng, President of CCC, shared the Chinese church in the Post-denominational Age, and its opportunities and challenges.

Dr.  Ali Gomaa, the Egyptian former Grand Mufti, recognized and praised for the harmonious experience between the two religions in China. He also introduced the cooperation between Islam and Christianity in his multi-religion country, especially much in charity that serves the needed in the areas covering medicine and health, youth work, cultural and education for years. In his eyes, there were many cooperation patterns between religions and remarkable achievements of cooperation have been made in culture and education.

Revd Dr. Mouneer Hanna Anis, the archbishop, hoped for more mutual communication and cooperation that targets to serve the mankind in the future.

The necessity of cooperation between religions was agreed by the two sides.
