God has called many people. Recorded in the Bible, the first man who responded to God was Noah. He also called prophets and judges to do his work in different times. A pastor stated that these callings are from God while the offering is a willing response from people who receive God's love to Him.

In a sharing meeting held in a house church of Shanghai, a speaker claimed, "Every God's worker should ask God first, 'God, what is my mission? Where do you want me to serve? What role do you want me to play on the magnificent stage of your kingdom?'"

The Bible wrote about the scene of Paul's calling. Saul, the previous name of Paul, made an all-out effort to persecute Christians until Jesus spoke to him in a vision on his way to Damascus where he was going to arrest Christians. Since then, he converted and became one of the most powerful and influential supporters of Christianity from being an opposer of the faiths.

Acts 20:24 reads, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace. "

For Paul, nothing was prior to the ministry God gave to him.

"It's a great glory and blessing to receive calling from the holy God. Our life has focus and our service becomes more vibrant with a stronger faith. We know that we are carrying out remarkable missions and our daily life is meaningful and purposive. However, only when we confirm our calling can we enjoy these benefits." said the speaker.

How to confirm God's calling and election?

1. You need to have a willing heart.

Receiving the call of God and walking on the road of the Cross must be difficult. "Knowing hardships on the road, we're still pleased to follow it. This kind of willingness comes from God."

2. You need to have peace in your heart.

Jesus had peace in his heart when he stepped on the road of the Cross, because he knew that he was not alone, his Father was with him."Is the peace of Jesus in our hearts? We should not hesitate, feel insecure or become disturbed at the moment of being called. Instead, we have peace no matter if our ministry is effective or not. God, who dwells in us, helps us and illuminates us along the way," added the speaker.

The speaker reminded the attendees, "Confirm your calling again by opening your heart and seeking God's will. If there is no response, put down your work and identify what God indicates you. If God affirms your calling constantly, you should spare no effort to focus on your calling and put it in the most important position in your heart."
