On May 19, 2018, a new church was dedicated in Jiulongpo, one of the main districts in Chongqing.
With a net usable space of over 480 square metes (0.11 acres), Shengyi Church is located in a whole floor of an office building near to a metro station. It has a sanctuary with the seating capacity of 400 people, a multi-functional room, conference rooms, child care rooms, a prayer room, a choral rehearsal room, and wedding equipment.
The church was originally a gathering. In December 2015, Rev. Zhou Daiqing, the former senior pastor of Gan'en Church in Peiling District, was appointed to lead the gathering that was then upgraded into the church level. On February 24, 2017, the church bought the current floor at the expense of over 2.48 million yuan. Now it has more than 200 members.
Rev. Xu Lunsheng, chairman of the Chongqing TSPM, and a local top official attended the ceremony.
