On February 22, 2019, a new church was dedicated in Pu'er, in China's southeastern Yunnan Province.

It took the congregation 14 months to complete the two-storey, brick-concrete structure with a floor space of 280 square meters (0.069 acres).

Xiga Church was started 38 years ago and a few of the initial members from Baliu Town, Mojiang County took turns meeting together in believers' homes.

In 1996, the initial building which had an area of 80 square meters (0.019 acres) was built within a month. The congregation used it for 19 years.

In 2015, the church staff decided to move the church from a location in a remote stockade where transportation was difficult to a more populated area where evangelism could be carried out in a better way. The construction process, despite having many challenges such as a lack of money and manpower as well as differing opinions, was supported by prayer.

The church has an elder, a deacon, a preacher, and three administrators.

Situated in southern Yunnan, Mojiang County has a population of 360,000 and 25 ethnic groups including a large number of Hani people. The main religions are Christianity and Islam. The gospel was introduced a century ago and the local county China Christian Council (CCC) & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) were founded in 1984. Local Christians number more than 20,000, many of whom are from the Hani, Blang, Lahu, and Han people groups.
