On June 5, 2019, the completion ceremony of Gospel Church was held in Jingdezhen, known as China's "Porcelain Capital".

Rev. Wang Yongsheng, president and chairman of the Jiangxi Christian Council and Three-Self Patriotic Movement said that the gospel was introduced into the prefecture-level city in Jiangxi in 1900. Seventeen years later, the Methodist Episcopal Church built a brick and wood church with an area of 400 square meters (0.098 acres). The building's area was expanded to 600 square meters (0.014 acres) in 1992, enough room to accommodate 700 people. As time went by, the building became dilapidated.

In 2013, a new church building and two annexes, covering 12 mu (1.97 acres), were completed.

Owing to the local government's military need to use the land, the church was relocated and main structure was completed by the end of 2016. With a floor space of 10 mu (1.64 acres), the new building has a floor area of 3,500 square meters (0.86 acres).
