According to the Shenzhen Christian Council & Three - Self Patriotic Movement (CC & TSPM), about 600 chorists from 17 local choirs presented hymns covering praise, prayer, confession, gratitude, promises, calling and blessings. The songs were from the New Hymnal that includes 400 hymns popular among the Christian community worldwide.
During the meeting, the presider also gave an account of backgrounds for the hymns.
The joint choir initiated by Shenzhen CC & TSPM sang an acapella chorus, "Come with the Lord".
The concert concluded with a benediction offered by Rev. Cai Bosheng, chairman of the Shenzhen TSPM, and the song "Blessings", sung by all choir members.
In July 2015, over 550 choir members from about a dozen local churches gathered in the first anthem festival in Shenzhen. In July 2017, the second praise concert of the church in Shenzhen was hosted in Buji Church.
