On August 27, 2019, a monthly meeting of the church staff in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, was held in the local Ergong Church in Gaoxin District.

According to the WeChat account of "Jianghe Journal", more than 30 pastoral workers, volunteer pastors, deacons, and key workers attended it.

Arranged by the Ürümqi Christian Council, the meeting included sharing devotionals, studying the revised constitutions of the registered Chinese church, and exchanges and intercessory prayers.

Rev. Zou Shuhua preached a message of calling, responding, and rewards, according to Luke 10:1-11 and 17-20. She said that Jesus sent out the disciples so that they could learn to complete what they should do in every circumstance; in response to the calling, the disciples finished their ministry and after that, received joy and happiness; the rewards of the ministry were written in heaven. The pastor exhorted the staff to seize opportunities to serve the Lord.

The staff prayed for the ongoing church demolition, land requisitions and other issues.
