Elderly nursing operation skills are an important part of elderly nursing work and the key point of professional elderly nursing care service. Every nurse should master its basic skills. On Oct. 28, Changsha South Church held the training "Elderly Nursing Operation Skills" for their end-of-life team and 41 people attended it.

In the nursing operation, nurses should put patients in the first place. Safety first, respect patients and be patient. One shouldn't act too quickly, regarding the patient as his or her family member. The three sisters Cao Ping, Duan Shuping and Luo Chunhua, who returned after studying in Zhejiang, told the team the knowledge they learned and demonstrated the standardized operation.

They taught the team how to wash patients' hair and to put on or off patients' clothes in bed, how to bedpans and to handle wheelchairs. Some nursers came close to them to learn the operation for the better service in the future.

The end-of-life care ministry of this church started in 2011. The church holds several related training every year for the care team to serve patients better.
