Theological Seminary in China Explore Cooperation With Top Universities and Institutions

Besides cultivating clergy for local churches, Fujian Theological Seminary's developing more outreach with social research institute, with two titles of research base of Christian research center, and teaching base of religious studies.

On the morning of April 20, Fujian Theological Seminary held the opening ceremony of the research base of Christian Research Center, another center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (known as CASS), and the first teaching base on religious studies of Renmin University of China located in the seminary. 

The research base becomes the first institution founded by Christian Research Center of CASS among Christian seminaris in mainland China and the second in the Chinese Christian community. The two bases are to explore Christianity at an academic level and improve the academics of the seminary. 

Fujian Theological Seminary, founded in 1983, provides three-year undergraduate education and can hold 200 students. So far, it has cultivated 1497 pastoral staff for Fujian. 

Fujian Theological Seminary is one of the 19 Protestant theological seminaries in mainland China.
