On February 10, 2020, Tengchong Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CC&TSPM) of China's southwestern Yunnan donated about 60,000 yuan to the local red cross.

Elder Ma Jinliang (chairman of Tengchong TSPM) and Elder Xiong Xianzeng (head of Qipanshi Church) gave the donation to the Tengchong Red Cross on behalf of more than 2,000 Christians.

All previously scheduled church activities have been suspended in Tengchong. An announcement was posted that the clergy and the laity should collaborate with the government against the coronavirus outbreak.

Religious venues must carry out medical investigation and report migrants and people who have passed through the coronavirus epicenter (Wuhan) to the government.
