On April 11, 2020, because of the virus pandemic, Xiamen ZhuShu Church promptly showed care and concern towards vulnerable low and middle-income groups in two local residential districts in the community by organizing its 2020 Good Friday and Easter community aid activity.

Due to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control work, the event was held in Lujiangdao Community Academy Center, according to the church.

Pastor Chen Meiman along with some other pastoral co-workers went to assist 100 residents. Each aid package included grain, cooking oil and other non-staple food, and was valued at about 300 yuan.

This was the 33rd community assistance activity of the Xiamen ZhuShu Church in 17 consecutive years, and the number of people helping has increased every year.

Pastor Chen Meiman said that during the festival to commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, the church was willing to link up with and pay for everything the two communities needed, thanks to Christ 's great love of self-sacrifice.

At the same time, she also encouraged every resident who was assisted to be grateful for this aid, to make more contributions to the community, to pass on the love, and to care for other people around.
