At the end of May, religious venues in Sichuan Province began to reopen according to local regulations. Chengdu Guangyin Church made safety prevention rules an important part of its agenda. While carefully formulating and implementing various epidemic prevention and control work, fire safety was also included in the plan before the church was reopened.

At 3 pm on June 10, the Guangyin Church was the site of drills to teach fire safety. All pastoral staff of the church attended the event and listened to the explanations of the fire department professionals. They also observed and participated in the fire drill.

The exercise included the emergency treatment of sudden fires, instructions on the use of fire-fighting materials, explanation of fire-fighting equipment, and the practical operation of the equipment. From the pastor to the preacher, to every executive and support co-worker, everyone was present so they could understand the use of the fire-fighting equipment, and personally tried to use fire extinguishers to extinguish the burning objects on site.

Through field operations, experience and drills, everyone's safety awareness was enhanced, and their knowledge of fire protection and how to respond was increased. They combined training with theory and practice to improve fire safety awareness of the majority of pastoral staff. They also provided an effective guarantee for the fire safety of the church.
