Last Sunday eleven churches in Shanghai reopened as believers attended worship services registering online and by phone.

According to a WeChat account that gives information on Christianity in Shanghai, some elderly believers who found it inconvenient to book online were able to register before they entered the sanctuary. Congregations have to arrange for temperatures to be measured, seating is one meter apart and everyone needs to wear masks. Billboards and banners are hung to remind participants to comply with social distancing rules.

Moore Memorial Church in Huangpu District, Pu’an Church in Putuo District, God Coming Church and Lin’en Church in Jinshan District all resumed their services

Three-self church leaders and officials visited some of the churches

One day before Sunday, the Jinshan District CC&TSPM held a national flag raising ceremony at the God Coming Church
