On July 27th, Lala Hsu, a Christian singer, announced on Sina Weibo the good news of her pregnancy.
She posted: "Now I have two hearts. One is given to me by my mother, and the other is for my little brother." The blog revealed that Hsu had been pregnant for five months, and the title of "he" implies a male baby.
She participated in “I Am a Singer 4”, a popular singing show which was organized by Hunan Satellite TV in early 2016 and became the biggest dark horse of the year. Her first song was an immediate success and brought her music to a large audience.
Hsu and her mother used to worship Mazu, a Chinese sea goddess. She began to get in touch with Christianity through her ex-boyfriend’s influence, and then came to confess really knowing Jesus. She shared that except through God, there is no way to satisfy our soul. After being baptized, she said she doesn’t understand music theory or read music scores, but she can sing and write touching songs. Knowing this is the gift from God, so from now on, she will write and sing her songs for God.
