On November 13, Xin'en Church in Yangxin County, China's central Hubei province, held a memorial service at the residence of Li Kunxiu, a recently deceased member of the church.

According to the Chinese lunar calendar, Sister Li was born on September 8, 1946, and died on September 24, 2020, at the age of 74. After being baptized in 1995, she devoted her life to serving God and became one of the founders of Xin’en Church. Local believers and folks praised her for her deeds of love and service, and she was honored as "Mama Li" by believers in the church.

During the memorial service, Brother Qiao, a fellow worker and representative from the church gave the eulogy. In addition to a brief description of Sister Li’s faith journey, he shared how she honored God through her life. She led relatives and villagers to the Lord, established churches, led worship, resisted heretical cults, assisted in pastoral ministry, and helped believers and neighbors with their difficulties.

Elder Wang, deputy president and secretary-general of Yangxin County CC&TSPM, expressed his condolences to the family of Sister Li. At the same time, he encouraged her offspring (most are believers) to turn pain into strength, fulfill her dying wishes, give testimony to the Lord, and work hard to build a better society.
