On November 26, Thanksgiving Day, Xishan Gospel Church in Dalian City, Liaoning Province held a special Thanksgiving worship service in the morning.

Although it was not Sunday, there were no empty seats in the church.  Some pastoral co-workers left their homes before six o'clock and came to church to take the temperature of those attended, register their personal information and guide them according to COVID-19 protocols. Believers needed to sit in designated seats, following requirements.

At 8 o'clock in the morning, Rev. Wang Cong presided over the Thanksgiving Worship Ceremony. While the choir sang, senior pastor Wu Bing, the deputy chairman of the Dalian CC&TSPM, the pastors and choir members presented various types of fruit and flower baskets. They were all dressed in church robes. Senior Pastor Liang Peijian of Muchengyi Church in Dalian was invited to bless the gifts and lead in prayer. Pastor Wang Cong of the Xishan Gospel Church, who was in charge of the worship time, led the congregation in reading Psalms 33 and 34. After the choir sang the songs, "Praise to the Lord", "Thanks for the Harvest" and "Thank God", Pastor Zhao Huiqi led the responsive reading. Based on Revelation 22:20-21, Senior Pastor Wu Bing gave a sermon.

Later the congregation sang Xishan's own song "Building the Lord's Body in Love", and Pastor Li Shenshen gave a summary of the meaning of thanksgiving and intercession. Pastor Wu Bing and three other pastors gave the blessings at the altar.
