Recently, Shanghai Pudong New Area churches have gradually reopened.

On January 17, the Pudong New Area CC&TSPM announced that all Christian venues in this area have gradually resumed worship services as the local pandemic was effectively controlled.

As some places are seeing a COVID-19 resurgence, the churchgoers were reminded to strengthen their pandemic prevention and control work.

The announcement said, "Everyone is requested to register with their ID card and receive an admission pass. These passes cannot be given to another person without authorization, according to the regulations of the municipal government. "

Participants are required to show the Shanghai Health QR code and Green Travel History Code, wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and leave as soon as possible after the service.

The announcement also stated, "Those believers who have passed through or have been to the medium- and high-risk areas should strictly implement health monitoring. After the period of medical observation, they are allowed to participate in the church’s activities, according to the local government's pandemic prevention requirements."
