Guangzhou CC&TSPM pastoral Class in Guangdong Province started its second-quarter course attended by about 70 local pastors and co-workers.

Zhou Yongci who has long been teaching worship etiquette, chorus conducting techniques, and choir training in East China Theological Seminary taught on the theme "Congregational Hymns in Sunday Worship" on August 3, according to CCC&TSPM.

Ms. Zhou introduced the four-fold worship structure and analyzed the congregational hymns in Sunday worship from different perspectives. The four-day study included not only theoretical knowledge of hymns, but also interactive aspects such as playing, appreciation, singing, and group discussion of hymns, according to Guangzhou CC&TSPM.

CCC&TSPM claimed that studying the creation of traditional church congregational hymns and analyzing the theological and biblical connotations would help pastors and co-workers to explore the Sinicization of worship etiquette in Guangzhou churches and choose suitable congregational poems for different ritual actions in Sunday worship.

During the discussion session, pastors and co-workers discussed with Zhou on the four-fold structure of congregational hymns, the theological significance of the church calendar, and worship etiquette, all mentioned in the course.
