A centurial church in China’s central Hunan Province announced the opening of a sacred music training course in mid-October.

Last Saturday, Beizheng Street Church in Changsha, Hunan, issued a notice on its official WeChat account, stating that the training would be aimed at Christians under the age of 60, who are willing to commit themselves to serving in the church choir. The course covers basic music theory, sacred music, and chorus. Registration for the course is open from September 12th to October 10th.

Built in 1905 and destroyed in 1910, the church was rebuilt on the original site in 1911, and completed in 1915. It is a cultural relics protection unit in a Gothic style in Hunan Province. Used for other purposes after liberation, it was reopened on December 20, 2004.
