The Nanjing Vineyard Sign Language Fellowship’s Christmas celebration was held in a restaurant in Qinhuai District on December 25.

Deaf believers came to prepare for the Christmas celebration, carrying their own vegetables and other food.

After the prayer by Teacher Chen Lirong who has graduated from the special education seminar of Heilongjiang Theological Seminary and is currently engaged full time in the deaf fellowship of a Nanjing church, this Christmas celebration officially started.

All the performances proceeded in an orderly manner and the drama which every member was looking forward to finally began. The performers showed several scenes of the Nativity: the Israelites all went to be registered, Mary conceived a child through the Holy Spirit, Jesus was born in a manger, angels reported the good news to shepherds, wise men worshipped Jesus, and so on.

The silent sign language dialogue with vivid emotional expression could also show every member's heartfelt joy for the birth of the Lord Jesus.

During lunch, they exchanged their recent life and faith experiences in sign language, and several members constantly asked sign language teachers for more daily expressions as well as vocabularies about the Bible.
