A Shanghai megachurch has received the Religious Venue Registration Certificate.

On January 6, Xu Huijiang, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of Huangpu District Party Committee in Shanghai, delivered the certificate to Holy Trinity Church located in the headquarter of CCC&TSPM.

In recent years, the church has completed the preparatory establishment and registration procedures in accordance with laws and regulations, laying the foundation for a moderate and orderly opening in the future, CCC&TSPM reported.

"Adhering to the rule of law principle of territorial management, the church serves as an important window for showing developing Christianity in the Chinese context and developing international friendly exchanges," said the organizations which runs state-approved Protestant churches.

In the near future, the church is said to make preparations for opening up religious activities under the coordination and guidance of the Huangpu district United Front Work Department.
