Churches in Shaanxi Support COVID-19 Prevention, Control

Three local CC&TSPMs in Shaanxi supported personnel working in pandemic prevention and at control points with food supplies in early January, according to Shaanxi CC&TSPM.

The secretary-general of Weinan Municipal CC&TSPM presented KN95 masks, 84 disinfectant, medical alcohol, and instant noodles on January 2 to COVID-19 checkpoints in Weinan Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a local police station, a sub-district office, a nursing home and a church in Weinan City.

From January 3 to 5, Fuping County CC&TSPM in Weinan, Shaanxi, spent more than 13,000 yuan on instant noodles, milk, biscuits, fruit, and masks, letting grassroots churches distribute the supplies to frontline workers in their villages to the fight against the pandemic, with an additional donation of 5,000 yuan.

Fuping CC&TSPM encouraged believers to donate money and materials and to join in the anti-pandemic volunteer service in the communities (village groups) where they were located, with more than 30 church volunteers and Christians participating.

Between January 3-6, Wang Minxia, the chairman and president of Shangzhou District CC&TSPM in Shangluo City, visited COVID-19 workers in the Chengguan Sub-district Office and Dongcheng Community, sending more than 5,000 yuan worth of supplies and equipment, such as electric heaters, water heaters, masks, disinfectants, and instant noodles.
