One church in China's eastern-coastal Fujian Province celebrated the birthday of senior believers.

On March 6, Fuhua Church in Fuqing, Fujian, had arranged a collective birthday party for the elderly members whose birthdays are in the first quarter of 2022, senior fellowship of the church reported.

The birthday party was expected since it was the first birthday gathering to happen in these two years after the outbreak of the pandemic.

When Rev. Yu Jianyun shared a sermon based on Psalms 90, mentioning that when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, there were 600,000 young people who were in their 20s, but not many of them left when arriving at Canaan after untold hardships. He said as life was short and fleeting, elderly Christians should always think about how they could value their limited lives and do their best to honor God and to benefit others. This obligation should be prioritized as a Christian.

In his speech, Rev. Shi Guiming reminded the elderly Christians to pay special attention to the growth and improvement of their spiritual lives and not to decrease their spiritual pursuit though they were getting older. He stated as Human beings are intelligent creatures, they should understand more instead of being dazed as they grew. He mentioned that it seemed that being old and confused was an irresistible natural law and there was nothing acceptable. It was declared that the lives of the elderly should also have wonderful implications, which were to serve the Lord Jesus wholeheartedly and to guide the younger generation to Christ. He encouraged the elderly Christians to regard this as their mission.

All directors guided by president Lin Rensheng were lined up to present their birthday congratulatory speech and the song Happy Birthday To You to the elderly members.

After the group photo, all of the members received birthday gifts.
