Churches in Guangdong and Chongqing hosted services during Lent to meditate on Christ’s sufferings.

Zion Church in Guangzhou, Guangdong, announced that it would hold a meditation service on February 25th, with the choir and believers meditating on His love and grace in sacred music.

Seventeen pastors from five churches in Guangzhou are carrying out 40 days' worth of spiritual sharing sessions on the book of Matthew. Rev. Chen Chan of Shifu Church gave the first-day sharing on February 22, followed by the second one from Rev. Wu Zhongwu of the Church of Our Savior on the second day.

Chongqing Agape Church said on February 22 that it would hold the Ash Wednesday worship service this evening. Christians wore ashes of burned palm branches on their foreheads, which let them remember that they were made from the dust of the ground and symbolized repentance.
