Eight Pastors and two elders were ordained at two churches in Xinjiang and Shanxi.

Changji Church in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, held an ordination ceremony on March 12. Among five staff workers from five churches in Changji Prefecture, four were ordained to be pastors, and one to be an elder.

Rev. Fan Chenguang of Urumqi Christian Council preached a sermon with the title “Construction and Growth of the Church." He used the good deeds of many predecessors in the land of Changji Prefecture to encourage believers. The five church staff were urged to take up the mission of the gospel and hold on to the Lord’s word, love the country and the church, and wait for the appearance of the Chief Shepherd.

Shanxi CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony in Qiaotou Street Church in Yingze District, Taiyuan, on March 12. Four church workers were appointed as pastors, and one as an elder, according to Shanxi TSPM. About 1,200 believers attended the ceremony.

With the title “Shepherds Who Are Entrusted," Rev. Zhang Enlai, chairman of Shanxi Christian Council, exhorted the newly-ordained pastors to hold genuine love and rightly handle the word of truth.
