On Sunday, the Dunhuang Academy China has featured several frescos depicting workers in various industries in Ancient China through its WeChat account.

The some of the frescos showed farmers, craftsmen, businessmen, and hunters doing their tasks while others depicted gold, silver and jade processing and even animal husbandry. These scenes were drawn depicting ancient Dunhuang. Dunhuang is one of the areas in China that greatly benefitted in the growth brought by the Silk Road.

It is also said that prior to 111BC, it was in Dunhuang when animal husbandry grew and developed. In the Han Dynasty (206 BC- 24 AD), most of the Han people stayed in Dunhuang and developed its agriculture sector. Due to the persistence and hard work of the Han people, many considered Dunhuang as an oasis in the desert come the time of the Tang Dynasty.
