According to reports on October 10, the song is already at number one in the Chinese music charts Xiami and Alibaba Music within one hour since it was released in October 7.
Similar trends were also reported in Thailand's iTunes music video charts (no. 1) and in the US (no. 3). It has even become second in the Pop iTunes chart behind Bruno Mars, making Lay the most successful Chinese singer in the US charts.
Turkey, Japan, Canada, Hong Kong and Malaysia also reports that the song has also made it to the top on their music charts.
