"Wonder Woman" had accomplished so much in the box office worldwide. To give you an idea, it made $103 million during its opening weekend and it topped the $800 million mark worldwide with $150 million budget.

The huge success can be attributed to the movie's director Patty Jenkins, who replaced Michelle McLauren due to some creative differences. Despite the one time deal, negotiations to bring her back for the next movie started just a week after the movie was released in cinemas.

"While an exact number could not be unveiled, sources say the number is in the $8 million dollar range to write, direct and produce making her the highest paid female director of all time," Variety reported about the female director's net worth.

"Sources say Jenkins will receive directing and writing fees in the high seven figures (think somewhere in the $7 million to $9 million range) on "Wonder Woman 2" but, more significantly, will have a considerable backend... The deal is a superheroic leap for Jenkins, who was paid $1 million for directing the initial "Wonder Woman,"" the Hollywood Reporter added.

The director has already agreed to be in the movie and is reportedly working on the script of the next "Wonder Woman" film along with DC Entertainment's Geoff Johns.

"Wonder Woman 2" is slated to be released on December 13, 2019.
