On August 29, 2018, the church in Yaodu District, Linfen, Shanxi, started the celebration by inviting calligraphers to create works.

In 1877, the China Inland Mission sent two missionaries to relieve the people in the south of Shanxi stricken by a drought. Then the gospel began to spread in Linfen.

The over 30 calligraphic works were about Bible verses, core socialist values, and other remarks. A calligrapher donated a ten-meter-long scroll of three-character Biblical truth.

The celebration will continue with sacred music and art performances.
