Marvel's "Venom" Hits Chinese Theaters Friday

Venom, Marvel Entertainment's newest superhero movie will be out in Chinese theaters starting Friday.
The movie was jointly produced by Marvel, Columbia Pictures and China's Tencent pictures and focuses on the story of Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist portrayed by British actor Tom Hardy. He accidentally bonds with an extraterrestrial symbiotic life form and becomes "Venom" to fight forces of evil.
The film premiered in Los Angeles on Oct 1 and was released across the United States on Oct. 5.
As of Nov 4, Venom had grossed $198.7 million in North America, according to Chinese online movie ticket service platform Maoyan.
