For aspiring animators in China who wish to learn more about animation, they can now enroll at the Communication University of China because they have teamed up with Viacom International Media Networks and offer a four-week program on kids' animation development.

The program is supported by Wellcome Forefront (Beijing) Culture Media Corp and international experts will be teaching everything Chinese students need to learn about animation production: from storytelling to animation.

The program will be attended by undergraduates of animation degrees at the School of Animation and Digital Art, marking it as the first time that the Communication University of China has taken an international academic program as a core module for its students.

This is not the first time Viacom and the university have teamed up to offer workshops for students. Last year, a summer workshop was offered for students.

The university's vice-president, Duan Peng, said it's the most extensive international academic program conducted at the university. He hopes that the program will inspire their students to become good storytellers and make excellent content for the animation industry.
