For the incoming Sony animated film "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" to be released this month, the Mandarin version will be featuring a special Spider-Woman as she will be voiced by Chinese actress Zhang Tianai.

The movie is scheduled to open in Chinese theaters on December 21 and it will feature six iterations of Spiderman from six parallel universe and show how they would team up to defeat a threat that puts reality in danger. It would also feature Miles Morales, who takes up the helm of the superhero after Peter Parker's death.

For the movie, Zhang, who is well-known for starring in the hit online series "Go Princess Go", will be voicing the character of Gwen Stacy, who, in her reality, becomes Spider-Woman after being bitten by a radioactive spider.

This will also be Zhang's first animated movie voiceover and to prepare for her scenes, Zhang would read a poem every night before going to sleep. She also recorded chants on her smartphone and repeatedly played them to adjust her emotions and tone to be a successful voice actress.

Zhang said during the sneak preview of the film this weekend that Spider-Man is one of her favorite comic superheroes and even dressed up as the neighborhood hero.
